Reading of Minutes from the Presbytery.

Introduction of the Candidate

Question the Candidate

After questioning the candidate the presbytery will make a motion and second to recommend
that the church proceed with the ordination.

The Ordaining Church will then make a motion and second to have the presbytery to proceed with the ordination.

Ordination Prayer and the laying on of hands by the presbytery.

Moderator will then declare the person to be ordained.

Presentation of a Bible to the candidate

Questioning of Candidate

Questions which will probably be asked during this service are as follows:

Will you please give your testimony of conversion?

Were your baptized? By what Church?

How many modes of baptism are there?

What institution did the Lord start to carry out His Kingdom work and commanded them to give Him glory in it?

Is the church—in this dispensation—local or universal?

What are the ordinances of the church?

Who is the head of the church?

Do you believe in the inspiration of the scriptures?

Do you believe in the virgin birth of Christ?

What must a person do to be saved?

Can you take your Bible and lead someone to Christ?

Do you believe you are worthy of the office of Pastor/Teacher?

Will you do your best if ordained to this office?

Why are you a Baptist?

Do you believe in pulpit affiliation when those who are not of the Baptist faith?

If the time should come when your life would bring reproach upon this position - would you submit your ordination papers back to the church?
